"Visionaire 60" by Riccardo Tisci

Riccardo Tisci has collaborated with Visionaire on his 60th issue. The topic is Tisci's favorite: the religion. Tisci curated the entire issue, all the works are commissioned projects except two photographs by Robert Mapplethorpe. The fashion designer's one stipulation to his collaborators: no Givenchy credits. In this leather limited-edition issue there are Karl Lagerfeld and Paolo Canevari's contributions.

GIVENCHY F/W 2011-2012

Riccardo Tisci's latest menswear collection provided a clue in to what we could expect from the womenswear. For men, it was rottweiler and tartan; for women he have panthers, orchids and the saucy appearance of Bettie Page. The outfit formula is shirt, sweatshirt and bomber over a slim pencil skirt, transparencies and 80s Versace silk prints.

Bets on who will be the successor of John Galliano at Christian Dior. The Irish largest bookmaker, Paddy Power, indicates the Italian Stefano Pilati, creative director of Yves Saint Laurent, as a favorite to succeed.
At the second position is Hedi Slimane, great photographer and former director of Christian Dior menswear. The third name is Riccardo Tisci, followed by the current director of Dior's menswear, Kriss Van Assche. Four sensational names that would completely change the John Galliano's vision on Dior woman.

GIVENCHY Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2011

Riccardo Tisci chose Japan as a source of inspiration for Givenchy Haute Couture. The fashion designer has mixed the beauty of the dancer Kazuo-Ohno, and exaltation of Mazinger. Tisci chose the crane (very elegant and feminine bird) as the symbol of Asian culture, and he designed a gorgeous and techno-romantic collection of 10 dresses. Accessories are exaggerated: manga-headpieces by Philip Treacy and metallic leather sandals with platform and high heels.

The clothes are fragile and delicate on the front, but when viewed from behind they seem technology and almost robotic, thanks to fluo touch.
