NEW DESIGNERS

These designers will be soaring into the fashion stratosphere:

HAKAAN YILDIRIM: The 39-year-old designer, born in Turkey, is proving to be a maestro of the bodycon trend with his debut collection of sheer-and-feather dresses and ribbon-leather-sleeved swing jasckets. The designer moved to Paris to reveal his second collection.

ANTHONY VACCARELLO: He is the new master of the little black dress. Bra-shape tops, graphic cut-outs and provocative sheer panels. Vaccarello honed his skills at Fendi with Karl Lagerfeld and launched his own label 2 years ago. He says about his clothes that they are for women who wear their femininity as armour. His geometric cuffs are the perfect accompaniment.

GUILLAUME HENRY: The 32-year-old, alumnus of Givenchy and Paul Ka, is rewriting the classic canon with modern aplomb of the house of Carven. In March 2010 Net-A-Porter hosted a dinner to introduce Henry and the Carven label to the London press. At the event Natalie Massenet compared Henry to a "young Saint Laurent".

  • NASIR MAZHAR: Currently, he is the brightest star in London's galaxy of young designer talent. The 25-year-old milliner started out as a hair-stylist with Vidal Sasson before turning to theatrical design to fulfil his desire to work in a more highly conceptualised way. Mazhar's blurring of the arcane and the modern comes together in a collection that swoops from dramatically draped medieval hennins and crimson cardinal hats, to Hannibal Lecter-esque muzzle masks and nuclear decontamination hood and visors.Within 2 years he has become one of the most popular names at London Fashion Week and the mad hatter of Lady Gaga.
