Camille Cortet is a French designer based in Amsterdam, her work is an interesting research about animal behavior applied to fashion and design. Cortet approaches to "animal culture", processing phases that determine changes both in physical and social relations of animals.

A particular interpretation of animal behavior is Snake & legwear Molting, it's her latest project. For this work, she is inspired by snake skin change: tights become a second skin, laser-cut and body-adaptable. This second skin changes with our movements and it breaks down with the age.
Camille Cortet è una designer francese che vive ad Amsterdam, il suo lavoro è un'interessante ricerca sui comportamenti animali applicati alla moda e al design. La Cortet si avvicina alla "cultura" comportamentale animale, ossia quelle fasi in cui avvengono delle trasformazioni che determinano dei cambiamenti sia nell'aspetto fisico che nelle relazioni sociali degli animali.

Una particolare interpretazione dei cambiamenti animali è il suo Snake & legwear Molting, che è il progetto più recente. Con i legwear si ispira al cambiamento di pelle del serpente: il collant diventa una seconda pelle, fatta di un tessuto tagliato al laser, e si adatta alla forma del corpo. Questa seconda pelle cambia in seguito ai nostri movimenti, e con l'invecchiamento arriva a rompersi naturalmente.
