Savage Beauty Preview

Alexander McQueen's creations will be presented at the Constume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum in New York, from May 4 to July 31. An exhibition's preview was presented yesterday at the London Ritz, the location much loved by the designer, where he set his first fashion show. Patronesses of this event that closed London Fashion Week were Samatha Cameron, British first lady, and the Chief Editor of Vogue Usa, Anna Wintour.
The exhibit expresses the creative output of the designer, who died prematurely in 2010: from the nihilistic mood of his debut in 1994 up until his Angels & Demons last collection, presented posthumously.

 

Alexander McQueen sarà in mostra al Constume Institute del Metropolitan Museum di New York, dal 4 maggio al 31 luglio. Una piccola anteprima dell'esibizione è stata presentata ieri al Ritz di Londra, posto caro a McQueen dove fece sfilare la sua prima collezione. Madrine di questo evento, che chiudeva la London Fashion Week, erano Samantha Cameron, first lady britannica, e il direttore di Vogue USA Anna Wintour.

L'esposizione vuole ripercorre tutte le fasi creative dello stilista scomparso prematuramente nel 2010: dal mood nichilista con cui debuttò nel 1994 alla sua ultima collezione Angels & Demons presentata postuma.
