For the 2011 spring/summer campaign, the two fashion designers, Pier Paolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri, wanted to focus on très chic mood of Valentino's apartment in Place Vendome in Paris, headquarters of the fashion house. The apartment was chosen as the location for the black and white shots signed by David Sims.
It's a very sophisticated and feminine campaign, it embodies the ethereal mood of the collection. Tre models portrayed by Sims: Freja Beha Erichsen, Caroline Brasch and Julia Saner. The idea was to tell, using a film-like atmosphere, the stories of three different women showing moments of their private life in the comfort of their homes.
Per la campagna pubblicitaria primavera/estate 2011, i due stilisti, Pier Paolo Piccioli e Maria Grazia Chiuri, hanno voluto puntare sull'atmosfera très chic dell'appartamento di Valentino a Place Vendome a Parigi, sede della maison, scegliendolo come location per gli scatti in bianco e nero firmati da David Sims.
Si tratta di una campagna pubblicitaria molto sofisticata e femminile che cattura l'atmosfera etera della collezione. Tre sono le modelle ritratte da Sims: Freja Beha Erichsen, Caroline Brasch Nielsen e Julia Saner. L'idea era quella di raccontare, in chiave cinematografica, le storie di tre donne diverse che vivono momenti privati nelle loro case.
